This was a large rip in the tube caused by over inflation. The repair was carried out by replacing the cone end then for the large rip an internal seam then covered with a large wear patch on the surface. This was then made into a feature by fitting a non slip tread pad on the top of the tube. All the patches were matched on the opposite side leaving very little cosmetic damage.
