Ribeye fuel tank replacement
Some of the earlier Ribeye A550 and A600 models were originally fitted with plastic or aluminium fuel tanks. Over time, these tanks can deteriorate, rupture or corrode, eventually requiring replacement.
At Rib Shop, we have carried out this procedure on many Ribeye Ribs, giving us the experience to complete the work efficiently, safely and without complication.
To access the fuel tank, the seating and console and first carefully removed from the deck. A section of the deck is then precisely cut to allow access and ensure it can be seamlessly refitted once the new tank is installed.

The original tank is removed and inspected. In this particular case, the underside of the tank had severely corroded, allowing fuel to leak into the bilge area - a common issue with ageing aluminium tanks.

A new, custom-fabricated stainless steel fuel tank is then produced and prepared for installation.

Once fited, the previously removed deck section is reinstated and fully laminated back into place to restore structural integrity.

A new synthetic teak deck is then fitted, before the console and jockey seats refitted, leaving the boat looking clean, modern and ready for use.
