These Terms & Conditions apply to all transactions between you, the customer, and Rib Shop Ltd, the company. They do not affect your statutory rights. Please read them carefully.
We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect on the date they are posted on our website.
This website and our Terms & Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under appropriate laws for this destination. For orders placed and delivered to destinations other than the UK, we give no guarantee, express or implied, that the use of this website from outside the UK complies with any applicable non-UK laws or regulations.
Failure by us to enforce any of these Terms & Conditions will not affect our right to enforce the remainder of the Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions are in addition to those of BMF edition 15a under which we operate.
We will treat each order and any payment for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these Terms & Conditions.
All telephone orders will be acknowledged verbally at the time of order and all orders placed on our website will be acknowledged by email.
By proceeding through the checkout process and making payment, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Neither submitting your order, completing the checkout process or receiving an email confirmation constitutes our acceptance of your order. Only once goods have been dispatched or collected do we formally accept your offer and our contract becomes legally binding. In the instance of a partial dispatch, we only formally accept your offer and our contract becomes legally binding only on those items dispatched. Until your order is dispatched or collected, we reserve the right to cancel all or part of your order for any reason, of which we will inform you by telephone or email. We will promptly process any refund due.
Prices are subject to alteration and may be changed without notice. The total price payable will be stipulated and the time you place your order. We are entitled to make adjustment to the price to take into account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or if due to error or omission, the price published for the goods is wrong, whether or not the order has been acknowledged. Delivery charges are calculated by the website and we reserve the right to take account an increase in these charges should the price calculated be insufficient. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel or continue with the order at the correct price. Our contract is only legally binding when your goods are despatched or collected.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If a product becomes unavailable, we will do our best to offer you an alternative. On occasion, the prices payable and promotions offered in respect of goods advertised on the website may differ from those in store. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store price or promotion in the event that they differ from the website, similarly our store is under no obligation to honour any website price or promotion.
We endeavour to ensure all pricing on the website is accurate, however occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. In this event, we will contact you and ask if you wish to cancel for a refund or continue at the correct price.
Prices reduced for sales and promotions are valid for the specified period only.
If the order is being delivered to a country where UK vat isn’t chargeable, it will be refunded to you. Goods must leave the UK to be eligible for zero-VAT rates.
For goods being delivered outside the UK, they may be subject to customs or import duty in the destination country. In all cases, it is your responsibility to account for the payment of any customs or import duties due. We exercise no control over these charges and cannot predict them. Any queries should be directed to your local customs and excise office. Please be aware it is your responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined. We cannot be held responsible for any non-compliance of such laws.
Should delivery be unsuccessful due to any reason, or you change your mind, and the items are returned to us, you will be liable for all shipping costs incurred, including return and any applicable customs and duty taxes.
You will be informed of delivery charges before you place your order. In rare circumstances, delivery charges will be calculated incorrectly by the website and we may need to request additional charges are paid prior to dispatch.
To some destinations, delivery charges may appear to be excessively high due to automatic calculations by the website. If you believe this to be the case, please contact us and we will investigate.
Our standard delivery charge will not be refunded, nor will the difference, if the cost of posting is less.
When items are in stock and orders are placed before 1pm on a working day, we always endeavour to dispatch that same day. Orders placed after 1pm of on a weekend or public holiday will be dispatched on the next working day.
We will always send using the most appropriate service for the price you have paid. In many cases we upgrade this service, however even with the best intentions, delays with couriers and Royal Mail can occur. Please contact us if you believe your order is delayed and we will investigate. We cannot be held responsible for deliveries failing to reach the destination in the expected time-frame if the correct and full address details have not been provided by the customer. Delivers which require a signatures may be delayed if no one is available to sign. We take no responsibility for delays in these circumstances, nor in a delay resulting from adverse weather conditions or acts out of control. We will not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever caused by any delay in delivery, completion or performance of any contract, and any time stated for delivery shall not be a term of any contract or representation. If goods are returned to us by the delivery company, for any reason outside of our control, we reserve the right to request our costs are covered should you request delivery to be attempted again. In the event that we are unable to supply or deliver goods ordered, we will refund any money paid in respect of such goods, but shall not otherwise be under any liability whatsoever. We shall not, in any circumstance, be liable for consequential loss or damage.
Short deliveries must be notified to us within 3 working days. If an order isn't received within 14 days of dispatch date, please let us know as soon as possible. After this date, we may be unable to investigate.

If you are unavailable when delivery is attempted, they may try to deliver again the next working day or, in most cases, leave a card with further information.
If you refuse delivery and the item is returned to us, yet we have not received the required notice of your intention to cancel, you will be liable for the original delivery charge and any return costs incurred.
We require signature on delivery for most orders, unless specified by you during the order process. If you request the parcel is left safe, we cannot accept responsibility for your order after delivery has been made. Should your order go missing after delivery, we will be unable to repeat or refund your order. We strongly suggest you sign for your order.
Items over a certain value will need to be delivered to the cardholder’s registered billing address and signed for.
Items sent using our standard service – Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class – generally do not require signatures unless we upgrade the service based on order value.
If you are overseas or require your items urgently, please contact us for alternative shipping options.
Please ensure delivery details, including postcode (where applicable) and country, are correct. In cases where the wrong destination is chosen and the delivery charge is more than you have paid, we will contact you for payment details and your order will not be dispatched until the correct charges have been paid.
We update your order throughout the fulfillment and shipping process and inform you of any order tracking details we have if your order is being sent via an upgraded service. If you require tracking, please choose an upgraded service over that of our standard 1st class or economy service.
You must satisfy yourself that any goods ordered are suitable for their purpose and we will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss, directly or indirectly, arising as a result of any incorrect or inadequate advice or recommendation.
Subject to the appropriate statutory limitations, no condition is made or to be implied, nor is any warranty given or to be implied as to the quality, life, wear or suitability of any such goods supplied by us.
In the event that goods purchased are faulty, please inform us as soon as possible.
You have the right to return faulty goods and receive a full refund, including the cost of delivery. We will inspect the goods for faults and if the goods were purchased less than 6 months ago, we will accept that they were faulty at the point of sale. In the first instance, we will offer repair or replacement. If the goods were purchased over 6 months ago, it is your responsibility to prove there was a fault at point of sale. You have the right to request repair or replacement of faulty goods for up to 6 years from point of sale, as long as it is reasonable for them to have lasted that long. We do not have to offer a repair or replacement if the fault is due to normal wear and tear or misuse by you. You can turn down the offer of a repair or replacement if the product was purchased a short time ago and you have the right to a full refund. If it is impossible to repair/replace the goods, we will also issue a refund.
Please return faulty goods to Rib Shop Ltd, Workshop 3 Spearfish Road, Hamble Point Marina, Hamble, Southampton, SO31 4JD.
We will not be responsible for returned goods failing to arrive so please choose a tracked service where possible.
Electronic items will be tested and if found to be faulty, will be repaired or replaced and returned to you. In this instance, we will bear the full cost of you returning the item and the subsequent delivery of the repaired/replaced item. If the item is found to be fine under testing, no postage costs will be reimbursed and you will be required to pay our standard delivery charge for the return of the item.
We do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on the website to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket. Cookies must be enabled to view the site. Data collected by our website is used to take and fulfil customer orders, administer and enhance the site and service and finally only to disclose information to third parties for delivery purposes. The only information we disclose are you name, delivery address, contact number and email address for delivery notifications.
Our server securely encrypts personal information and card information. We use SagePay and PayPal, industry leaders in secure internet transactions. No individual within our company, SagePay or PayPal are able to decrypt cardholder data. Access is only allowed to their most senior staff in extenuating circumstances (such as card fraud). Administration screens do not display full card information.
Rib Shop Ltd retain title and ownership of all goods supplied by them until payment of goods has been received in full, otherwise the purchaser may only transfer title as our agent, irrespective of incorporation of goods in manufactured product, on condition they act as trustee, responsible and accountable for any monies outstanding.
