Rib Re-tube Information

RIB CARE INFORMATION

The recommended operating pressure of the tubes is 2.0psi. Pressures should be checked prior to each use and adjusted as necessary. Operating outside of this pressure may cause seams to fail.

All Rib Shop built tubes are fitted with Over Pressure Valves. During periods of warm weather, pressure within the chambers can increase. Should the pressure exceed 2.5psi, the Over Pressure Valves will automatically activate to relieve excess pressure.

Temperature fluctuations play a significant role in pressure changes. It is common for the chambers to feel slightly soft during cycles  of warm daytime temperatures followed by cooler nights.

To maximise the longevity of your tubes, we recommend rinsing them regularly with fresh water to remove salt residue.  Tubes should be cleaned with Rib Revive at least once a year and conditioned with Rib Conditioner at least every six months.  Cleaning and conditioning should be carried out more frequently during prolonged periods of summer.

We offer a 3 year back-to-base guarantee on our new tubes. Should any issue arise within this period, please contact us immediately. Taking the tubes to a third-party repair agent before informing us of a potential issue will invalidate the warranty. Failure to adhere to operating instructions may also result in the warranty being void.
