Due to the space and facilities we have at our purpose built workshops, we are able to offer a fast hassle-free Rib re-tube service, where you can drop your boat to us by road or water. We work with most UK insurers, so if your Rib tubes need replacing through an insurance claim, we can deal directly with your insurance company and surveyors from start to finish so your boat can be back in operation with the minimum of fuss.

Our Standard Tube Guarantee Our Rib tubes are covered by the following guarantees: - 5 Year Hypalon fabric guarantee with Orca Pennel. - 3 Year back to base Rib tube construction guarantee: Defects arising from incorrect Rib tube construction. - 3 Year back to base Rib tube fitting guarantee: Defects arising from incorrect Rib tube fitting.

Tube Construction All the Rib tubes fit are built to order and custom made in house to fit the owners requirements. The material used in the construction of all our Rib collars is the internationally recognised ORCA Hypalon coated fabric. ORCA fabric has unbeatable protection against UV and salt damage as well as having a very high level of mechanical and abrasion resistance. Our standard Rib tubes are constructed from Orca Pennel 1300gsm material, although 1500gsm is also available on request for the more commercial user.

Tube Accessories A wide range of accessories can be fitted to new tubes as well as being added to an existing Rib to enhance the aesthetics, usability and strength. These include: handles, wear patches, non slip pads and additional protection areas, lifelines, securing points, bow cleats and fairleads, fendering, pressure relief valves and lots more.

Lead Time Rib Shop's Rib re-tube service typically takes 3 weeks from the craft arriving with us. We have facilities on site to pull boats out of the water on either owners' trailers or supplied trailers, giving residents of the Isle of Wight the advantage of being able to drop off and collect by water, which avoids car ferry costs. We also offer a collection service from the docks for residents of Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney who require Rib repair work and new tubes.
