Water based, easy to paint on and looks great. My old rib looks like new after 2 coats. It's only been 2 weeks so don't know about the durability? A little costly but if it dose the job it's worth it.

Hi I purchased 2 large tins of the water based top coat. I was very sceptical of the product as I own my own car body shop www.deansroadbodyrepairs.co.uk and water based products are usually hard to use. Surprisingly the top coat was very simple to apply My tubes was in very poor cracked condition so I first sanded the tubes with 400 grit sand paper then I used a fine haired 2.5 inch brush to apply 2 coats. I then sanded the boat with 600 grit wet and dry paper keeping the tubes wet. After drying the tubes I could still see alot of cracking. I then kept apply top coat over the cracked area only building the layers until you couldn’t make out the cracking I then repeated the process with the 600 grit wet and dry. This did take a little time but well worth the hard work. I then painted the final coat in small sections still with the same paint brush but after every meter dipping the paint brush in water and using the fine tipps of the paint brush to thin the coat down slightly leaving a perfect finish.
